Having a total area of approximately 6.1 square miles, Bartonville is near the Lantana housing development. The town has a rich history dating back to 1853 when it was established. It used to be a part of Chinn’s Chapel Settlement which was divided into three communities with Bartonville as the lone survivor. The town was first incorporated in 1960 when the threat of annexation became apparent as Irving expanded northward. However, it was also unincorporated when annexation finally stopped.
When the town was reincorporated in 1973, progress began and Bartonville, TX homes began to increase in number. Today, the development of DFW International Airport has opened many opportunities for the town. As people continue to experience modernization, they still maintain the natural resources that the town exhibits.
