Glenn Heights’ history of growth can be traced back to the 1960’s when a 30 acre area for mobile homes was established by N.L. “Moe” Craddock. The town was incorporated 1969, just as the population began to increase significantly. As such, Glenn Heights has developed a need for additional housing projects.
Today, Glenn Heights is experiencing a flood of open opportunities. It is benefited by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) system which allows public transportation services to and from the city. It also houses the famous Dallas Hi-Ho Campground and if families are craving fishing and boating activities, Lake Whitney, Joe Pool Lake and Lake Waxahachie are just minutes away. Residents can also enjoy shopping and dining in nearby Dallas due to its close proximity and access to freeways and public transportation systems.
