Incorporated in 1952, Hurst’s dramatic changes began with the development of the Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport in 1974. Its proximity to the airport is an advantage because of the employment opportunities and tourism that only a large international airport provides. Another milestone in development was the construction of the northeast campus of Tarrant County Community College which improved the quality of education for students.
Today, the city’s economics are in full swing. City officials and residents welcome additional residential and commercial development as it applies to the city’s comprehensive plan for growth. The location of Hurst is, of course, the number one lure although the city’s natural charm and abundance of activities also draws residents from afar. Explore what Hurst homes have to offer.
