Josephine traces its history back to 1888 when it was established. Though it was not incorporated until 1955, there were already cement roads, businesses, an elementary school and a bank by 1930. The town became a retail market for farmers and attracted settlers. It was only during the Great Depression that its population decreased, although the town managed to recover in the following years.
Today, Josephine, TX homes are increasing in number. The town is not yet crowded giving residents plenty of room without excessive traffic. The spirit of friendship also makes the place an ideal home. This is exhibited in the town’s program of giving clothing to those who are in need. With residents having the mindset of “no one should be left behind”, the city is expected to radically prosper in coming years.
