Rowlett is a beautiful city located on the east side of Dallas County. Its roots can be traced back to 1835 when Daniel Rowlett led families to settle in Bonham. In an effort to improve the lifestyle of its people, the city is expected to receive a boost of commerce and housing once the construction of President George Bush Turnpike Eastern Extension is completed. Another major change would be the completion of the DART Blue Line Light Rail Extension from Garland on 2012.
