Founded 170 years ago by William Sachse, this small town has rapidly increased in population. The town is conveniently located 3 miles away from the north side of Highway 190 (George Bush Turnpike) and 20 miles northeast of downtown Dallas. Residents can easily travel to and from nearby Richardson, North Dallas, Plano and Garland via Highway 78, George Bush Turnpike and Central Expressway.
The Sachse Public Library complements the educational needs of students and researchers. Concerning community event, people from neighboring towns annually gather in Sachse to attend the famous Sachse Fallfest. Though the popular Firewheel Town Center is located only a few miles to the southwest, residents also have quick access to the Metroplex thus providing convenient travel to museums, shopping centers, restaurants and other attractions.
